Building LLMs the Right Way

Jillian, one of the world’s first certified AI auditors, discussed how her expertise in compliance and risk management ensures that the models are built ethically and in accordance with legal standards. Michael shared his excitement about the potential applications of KL3M, including automating due diligence processes and drafting contract revisions based on identified risks.

Working Together in Legal Tech

As part of The Geek in Review’s “Love and Legal Tech” series, Michael and Jillian discussed the unique dynamics of working together as a married couple in the same organization. They highlighted the benefits of being able to bounce ideas off each other in real time and seamlessly cover for one another when family responsibilities arise, while acknowledging that the boundaries between work and home life can blur.

Jillian brought her background as a Big Four tax CPA before joining forces with Michael, whose career spanned finance, alternative investments, and setting up his own research practice. Together, they previously co-founded LexPredict, which was acquired by Elevate in 2018.
