Founded in 2022
273 Ventures set out to build the next generation of legal data infrastructure. We built the technology, trained the models, published the research, and open-sourced what the industry needed most. That work gave us an unmatched understanding of how AI actually works in legal and professional services — and what it takes to get it right.
Built the Foundation
Created the Kelvin Legal Data OS and trained KL3M, the world's first Fairly Trained legal language model.
Open-Sourced for the Public Good
In 2024, donated open-source data and model assets to the ALEA Institute, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit we founded to steward these public goods.
Published the Frameworks
Authored "Agentic AI in Law and Finance" as an open textbook, establishing the GPA framework now used across the industry.
